Dear Lipscomb

by Valerie   Jul 20, 2009

Dear Lipscomb, how art thou?
Do you know how I miss you now?
Four months we have been apart
We reunite when classes start!

The pretty flowers and green grass
Entice me as I pass.
The Bell Tower and Bison Square
Make me wish I was there.

Dear Lipscomb, it's been too long,
But missing you feels so wrong.
My friends hate you quite a lot,
But to me, you're all I've got.

Old McFarland, my second home
Your halls I used to roam
And your classrooms I still yearn
It won't be long til I return.

Dear Lipscomb, my friends I miss.
Summer break is no bliss.
I'm home alone every day
Waiting for August to come my way.

But alas, it's barely July
And time does not seem to fly.
But, I continue to wait for that day
When I pack my books and head your way!
