Little Girl

by ibelievedhim   Jul 20, 2009

Twisting the truth into lies
Mixing hello's with goodbyes
Little girl inside of me
All I am, all I see

Can't grow up coz I'm afraid
Back to the night I was made
Into the frightened little girl
Hands on me, make me hurl

Close my eyes really tight
Open, nothing is all right
Not a dream, all for real
Maybe blood will help me feel

Slice my wrists, cry these tears
Can't explain my deepest fears
Hold me close, safe with you
Maybe we can make it through

Feel you slipping, so far away
Words on my lips, I don't say
Hide in my shell, need you to see
That I am what he made me to be.

A wonderful written poem. I liked how you expressed that we lose things in the present because of things that happened in the past, sad but true. 5/5, Em x

"To express in ways literature can only imagine is a poets way to paint a picture". Comment back on my very own artistic paintings...

Its sad what people can do to you and not even feel or see what they did. All in all its a sadly written but very powerful it sends a great message to those out there who went under the same situation.
