Roots

by Talie   Jul 21, 2009

If you forget me / while you are away / I'll grow roots by my window and wait / for your return the nary day / and watch you scale these castle's / walls while dancing away night / and day in this hammock's sinewy and stalwart / boughs your heart cradles mine with such / fragility as the falling leaves set the / beat I look up from the courtyard into the / pouring rain.
