Baby Teeth and First Young Loves

by dollwithafrown   Jul 21, 2009

The air was a slight mixture of
laughter and suspense,
when a smile can make a heart melt;
a picture of fragile innocence.

And upon the sun rising,
flying light upon this day;
a group of souls together,
making memories built to stay.

Scraped knees and broken fingernails,
a few tears shed down soft cheeks;
though all it takes is a hug and a kiss
and the voice when a child speaks.

Bright colours paint a masterpiece;
melodies created through sound
of children dancing lightly
on the solid summer ground.

    Second stanza first line, there is a space between 'rising' and the comma.

    Overall this was a well written piece which I enjoyed reading. It is true how such a little smile can just lighten up someones day. A beautiful write full of truth. Keep up the great work.
