Falling : Part 2

by Habiba Remedez   Jul 22, 2009

So now she's fallen.
But in a much different way she would have thought.
Surprisingly, she isn't crawling.
Like she would have thought the lot.

She helps the fallen angel,
offers him a place to stay
while he heals his mortal body
she prays the day won't come where he'll go away.

He takes notice of her hospitality,
notices her fast beating heart.
To love her he'd have to give into mortality,
and all over, he'd have to start.

Avoidance is the answer to his confusion
It hurts her, but protects
this way, there isn't any delusion
Although this action the fallen angel regrets.

The love for her in his heart isn't dimming
With every hour it gets stronger
His angel vision is thinning
He won't hold up much longer.

Weakened by these mortal feelings,
He doesn't know what to do.
There's one basic reason.
but which side will he choose?

She wonders sadly, if she's not pretty enough
For the angel has been avoiding her
Which adds to her bad luck
Evidence that he hates her for sure.

He struggles to cope with
the decisions to be made
For each one has a consequence, and each seems like a myth.
In place, his final seconds, the key has been laid.
