You Were Mine

by RavishingEruption   Jul 23, 2009

Last night I couldn't sleep
Instead, I thought of you
Of New York City and happiness
Of trying something new

I thought about Love
And the many forms it takes
I also thought about losing you
Sometimes a promise has to break

I thought about those days
The ones when you were mine
I blamed myself for heartache
And questioned the power of Time

I cried over the future
Pondered over the present and the past
I looked back on what was "us"
And asked, "Why did it not last?"

It begins to rain
And I take it as a sign
I can't go back there again
To that day when you were mine

Awesome flow and true expression of emotions and looking back on the past and present wishing someone was still yours, yet they arent. The future is unpredicatable though, you should always live for the future cause you dont know what it will bring. Dont get so hung up on something you cant change.. right? :] Your words in this write are truly something that a lot could relate to. A good job again!
