I Tell Myself

by bon   Jul 24, 2009

I tell myself I'm happy,
That everything's okay,
That I should live life to the fullest,
And hope tomorrows a better day.

I tell myself to hope,
To believe It'll be all right,
Despite all the obstacles,
And the fears I have yet to fight.

I tell myself to trust,
In who I am in all,
Regardless of the outcome,
Whether I should choose to fly or fall.

I tell myself to look up,
And be content with how things are,
Even if my view is dim,
And forbids me to look that far.

I tell myself a many things.
Both truth and lies I seem to bend,
Even though what I know is nothing,
For life wont be revealed until the end.

This poem is a good start. It has a decent flow, the topic was a little cliche, but that often happens as you begin to write. Keep it up:)
