A sad tune

Do you hear that?
that sober humming
a sad sad tune

do you see that man
as he sits longing gazing
everywhere and no where

see how he is so far away
he watches the wind sings
the trees and leaves dance

he wishes to do the same
he wishes to dance with her
to feel her softly next to him

he longs for her light
the soulfulness about her
the warmth she brought

forbidden love, taken away
they fought till the bitter end
never to see eachother again

so his voice continues
to hum that soft sad tune
longing for what he cant have
