Migraine

by Odessa   Jul 26, 2009

Cold seeping through the hollowness behind your eyes,
Freezing the tears that you were too embarrassed to cry.
Weakness is what you see,
Instead of saying look at that beautiful me.

I am you as you are me,
As you are she.
Separated by outward appearances,
Linked by inward grievances.

You want to die,
You watch us cry.
Thinking they won't realize when I'm gone,
Not realizing what it's all worth in the long run.

You look in the mirror,
Screaming "Drop dead"
Not understanding that we aren't made of lead.
