Tears
slide to my pillow, as i lay wishing i could remember.
Eyes open wide.
It scares me to know there's so much i won't ever
replace, and how much i may forget...
Eyes shut tight, when another tear drops,
for the hazy memories of such an amazing person
that i am so afraid to lose, so afraid will stop.
The first time i met you,
talked with you,
laughed with you,
hugged you,
knew you,
cried to you,
cried because of you.
And kissed you goodbye.
It is easier to recall feelings, and foggy pictures,
joy, happiness, belonging, seldom annoyance,
then pain.
Your face, the sunshine so warm,
the cold and the rain.
Raw hurt, so new i feel i won't ever stop bleeding.
It hurts so much to remember
but i am petrified to let go.
Self inflicted wounds that i cherish ever so.
