This is a story
of a girl and a boy
they met on a day where neither expected love.
they sat down and talked for hours
told each other everything
were comfortable enough to feel the others warmth
laughed and joked and played
and when the time came to leave
they left with second thoughts
met each others eyes once more
and knew they'd be back tomorrow
and day after day they did the same
never running out of things to say
they came close to a kiss
but she pulled away
which he never expected
but they kept talking
he told her about a girl he liked a lot
but didn't know if she felt the same
she told him if she didn't she was crazy
she tried not to be concerned as she asked her name
but he shrugged and told her he'd tell her later
they sat on a rock and overlooked the world
and she asked what he was thinking
he told her he was crazy
in a couple ways
she asked which ways
he took a deep breath and brought his face close to hers
and said I'm crazy about you
she pulled away again and shut her eyes
then lifted her head and kissed his cheek.
later her told her she was the girl
and she fell asleep talking to him
the girl had liked him from the start
but had never expected to win his heart
the next day they saw each other again
no awkwardness just togetherness
they sat together pressed against one another
still never kissing
told each other of mistakes
of secrets no one else knew
both were still afraid
knowing once this ended they would lose the other
he was leaving soon
and she was clinging to what shed only had with him
their last day together was like any other
then finally he kissed her
and she let him
they talked between kissing, touching, holding
everytime he kisses her she shuts her eyes and hopes it doesn't end
he didn't kiss her with lust, but rather with love
he pulled her close and chuckled
and she looked up questioningly
he touched her face and looked in her eyes
you're heart is beating all out of sorts
he told her smiling
she touched her heart and listened in confusion
and realized he was right
she kissed him again
and it felt so perfect
he held her gently in his arms and for once her world was held together
but then he left
told her one day he'd come back
told her he loved her like no other
but this was something he needed to do
she said she loved him no matter what
told him she couldn't let him go
told him everything he needed to know
reminded him of promises
of making it til forever
now she waits for his decision
and prays he'll come home
because she knows that they had something right
