Identity

by A M   Jul 29, 2009

A state, I never thought I will reach
Reach this honest type of speech
Through experience I can learn
Learn to avoid the flames that burn
To all my partners of the past
Reveal the curse that time has cast
Why couldnt any of you love me back?
What do I exactly lack?
Am I unbearable? Selfish? Ignorant?
Am I negligible? Cold? Careless?
Or is it because of my excessive temper!
May be related to my difficult number!
Do I look horrible? Smell bad? Behave rude?
Do I talk fast? Always sad? Barely get nude?
Tell me, what is the reason?
Tell me; was I only for a season?
Each one left me drowned in huge scars
Those scars made me realize who I am
Not the moon, not even the stars
Can change me, change my identity

Your identity shouldn't have to be changed because you are you and that's all that matters. Lovely write, 5/5. Em
