Standing At The Edge

by Secret(SILENT)Screams   Jul 29, 2009

Standing at the edge of morning
the scent of sex lingers in the air,
she stayed the night
now feeling worthless,
because she knows he doesn't care.
If you look behind all the mascara and shiny lipstick
you'll see her heart,
its been beaten and bruised
because every single lie he told her,
she believed.

It sucks to know that someone doesn't care about you, and especially when you've been used [for sex or other things.] I've learned not to be so trusting, but then you have to be supsicious of everyone and some people just won't stick around long enough. Anyways, I don't think I'm making sense, but I really did love this poem. Even if it was short.

    Great job.
