The Way You Make Me Feel...

Turned tears to laughter, I could dance til the morning after,
I just thought that I'd be mourning after...
AFTER you came back and let your feet set flames to a stage,
Engaged in a daze, amazed for days,
Reminded there's only numerical value to age
When your voice would begin to resonate...

Courage through music, long as I had your movement
I could never hesitate, the metronome to my groove and,
It was because of you I carried myself with confidence,
"Mama Se, Mama Sa, Mama Cu Sa"
Made sense when all else was nonsense...

They programmed your image but I was able to delete it,
Told 'em Beat It! I'd take my own life the day I see you defeated,
And perhaps such dedication exceeds it but I need it,
That belief that if you love something, you heed it,
Regal but flawed like any one of us, one of us, the sum of us,
And if those some of us don't care about you then it's true that
They Don't Really Care About NONE OF US!

"Black or White?" Their facts weren't right,
Still they judged you before they tried to love you,
BUT SINCE WHEN DID THEY AMASS THE RIGHT?!?!?!
Nothing Smooth in how they Criminalized you,
Minimized you, all with lies too,
But when you'd Heal The World did they Remember those Times too?
Even in your solitude you were never left alone...
But you always took time to tell me "You Are Not Alone"...

It's because of you I Don't Stop Til' I Get Enough,
And when I get it rough, and fall, I can get back up,
When I add up what made me, I see it clearer,
How else you think I was able to confront the Man In The Mirror?
Telling myself not to Give In To Me,
This entity had entered me and rendered me...
Me!
Who Is It?
ME!

It's in the way that you changed my Human Nature,
Searching my soul and racking my brain to find ways thank you,
Will You Be There? You always were, and yes you always will,
You will be there in the heart of me...

    I didn't want to post this into a grieving poem because it's not grieving, it's a celebration of his life and what he meant to me (and obviously millions upon millions upon millions upon millions upon millions of others around the world).

    It was more like the goodbye of a friend than the death of one.

    Michael Jackson was a great musician. No one can deny it, loved him or hated him, he was great. It is beautiful act to dedicate a poem for him, specially because you were one of his admires.

    It is ashame start mocking at someone and say bad words after his dead. It is only revealing the true nature of the those people.

    Black or white? Does it really matter? I do not know another person people have pointing their fingers as him. He is not first or last person who was not completely satisfied his outlooks and operated himself. Costs became heavy as we all know.

    Wow. Yes, I could keep on talking about Michael for hours but just to comment your poem I would add your rhyming is so nice makes me a bit jealous.... Nice act to express feelings. Good writing overall.

    Gone But Never Forgotten...for people who truly loved him. :)
