Another Nice Guy

by Indian Comma Bean   Jul 31, 2009

I can't keep doing this,
Lamenting on a moment passed away.
Often dwelling on pestilent thoughts
They fester into memories haunting daylight.

Simple things overheard in murmuring
Seem to trigger the deepest of emotions,
Drifting chances lost to innocence,
Disappointment, a common visitor.

Naive in nature, coy in mind,
These hazel eyes see lonely days.
Ahead of nowhere, clouds pass, suns set,
Suddenly it all becomes so clear -

Losing her is my biggest fear.
