Heaven smiles.

More than an average high school fling,
more than just a crush.
Not a cheesy movie plot,
nor some magical love rush.

Perfect yet flawed,
in every possible way.
Love is something indescribable,
just like what they all say.

Something solid,
yet as invisible as the air.
Brings out feelings in some,
you never knew were there.

But life brings upon obstacles,
for the weak and the strong alike.
Cities, borders and oceans,
many faint-hearted, it does psych.

But the sun will only shine for so long,
as will the oceans remain.
Our love is something, though unexplained,
will survive through the hardest of rains.

So go the distance and take the planes,
don't you dare look back.
Because with tear-filled eyes, I'll love you and wait,
we passed the test and from above, you can hear the claques.

This was pretty well written considering the lengthy break between this and your last poem. Incidentally my favorite stanza was the same stanza that I think could use a little work.

    "But life brings upon obstacles,
for the weak and the strong alike.
    Cities, borders and oceans,
    many faint-hearted, it does psych"

I like the concept of life's obstacles for all people regardless but the rhythm is thrown off in the last line. It seems forced and it causes a hiccough in the flow. Other than that it was well written and emotional. You still have the same talent that you always did. Keep writing and I'll keep reading. 5/5.
