My middle name

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Aug 1, 2009

My life is full of pain
With a severe tinge of sorrow
In my kind of life you begin to notice
You'll be lucky to see tomorrow

If the world around you doesn't kill you
Be sure your conscience will
Surrounded by people who "love me"
And yet i feel empty still

Wake up each and every morning
Another day another mark
Your shadow ceases to exist
When you live life in the dark

Hollow points for the guarantee
Silencer for increase in aim
The missions may seem to vary
But they all will die the same

A clean shot to the skull
Or a kill shot to the chest
I don't sleep anymore because
The grim reaper cannot rest

This gun is all i have
Without the comfort of a soul
I have spent my life without one
Always ceasing to be whole

So here i lay eyes wide
As always my gun is drawn
I will lay here the same way
From dusk until the dawn

So here i am alone
Just waiting for tomorrow
Everyone knows me as pain
But my middle name is sorrow

An creative way to express sorrow and pain. The flow was good and so was the rhyming. You did an excellent job with this poem. The way you express the feelings of pain and sorrow was really good. So Good job. -Jad
