What if to an old friend, what if to an old dream
What if to that moment you lost,
What if to that thing you wished you’d said?
What if to a life time of regrets.
Would I still be me, would I still love the same people?
Would I still hurt the same?
Would I still be able to see; maybe love would find me.
Would I have seen what would happen if I’d looked harder.
Should we look at what we have now and be happy.
Should we smile knowing that all life has taught us has led us here.
Should we live with the weight of burdens?
