Days and Seconds

The days pass by
the seconds tick away.
I wonder more then anything why you didn't stay.

I should have listened to my dad.
He was always right.
He told me not to fall in love just yet.

Now I cry at night.
Tears fill you up,
just as love once did.

Although the felling passes.
Then you are left alone.
just as love is.

I wonder why i fell for your little games.
Maybe I needed an escape
something that no one would understand.

now i laugh
now i cry
now the days and seconds tick by.

I will always love you
but i hope i will forget
but if i do remember

Then i hope i will say
that you are in my past
i don't need you to this day

Even the days are slow
the seconds are long
but i promised myself that I'll move on
