Once upon a time.
That's how all the stories go.
The words they seem to flow
Into a world long long ago.
With a princess locked up.
Way way up in a tower.
Her captor of course has magical power.
Then her knight comes to set her free.
That handsome young man that all guys aim to be.
So he slays her captor.
Climbs the steps that are so high.
When he gets to the top.
He looks his princess in the eye
They fall magically in love.
Just in the blink of an eye.
They ride off into the sun set
They live happily ever after.
I cant help but wonder what if they didn't fall in love?
What if she was renting that tower?
What if her captor with magical powers was her best friend in all the world?
What if the knight hadn't made it up those stairs but died of exhaustion half was there?
The ifs and buts of life seem endless and pointless but i cant help but wonder if i should try to be the princess up there?
Should i act trapped and try to be saved?
Should i just sit in that tower until he should come?
What if I'm mistaken and he doesn't come?
