Shiver

by iLYSSA   Aug 3, 2009

Room is empty
with a tint of grayish green lighting.
the walls are supposed to be white
but they've been through some
wear and tear kind of thing.
there's one window in the room
to let in some light,
but other than that,
the room is dark.

A girl sits in the corner
of the cold room hugging her legs,
scared of something.
she's shaking. she looks a mess.

The girl is longing for someone
to hold out their hand
so she can reach out
and maybe hold it too.
as scared sh*tless as she is of the world,
she wants a hand to hold.
The touch of someone makes her shiver.
Scared that their touch will hurt her,
like all the others.

She longs for that touch
that wont make her shake and shiver.
It ends where it began, alone and afraid.
