Attrition

by Tripp   Aug 3, 2009

Self-serving morals incite this war of attrition
As man strives to complete his own selfish mission
What is man but the consummate corruption?
He who erroneously sows death and disaster
Man is the architect of his own destruction
Of chaos and catastrophe, he is the master

Society is a malignant malfeasance
Society is coalescing corruption
It's founded upon petty pretenses
And like a volcano, prone to eruption
Casting out those who have done no wrong
Following a self-perpetuating cycle
It's gone on for so long

We're given:
A chance to love life and live love
Instead man acts on impulse
Does what an animal does

Are you alive? Or are you just breathing?
Are you with me? Since I plan on leaving.
