The C of Confusion

by JaM   Aug 3, 2009

As the pressure closes in,
I suffocate with panic,
my vision fades to black,
at least the tension releases.

Though I saw no sky,
only the ripples of the waves,
the sun shone on me,
as I sunk beneath the surface.

A last glimpse of light,
before a solitude of darkness,
portraying a beauty,
that is forever lost.

New opportunities prevail,
amongst the other side,
of a vision that was blinded,
during my life of death.

Objects have not changed,
but my perspective has,
now that I can see,
I'm astonished with disbelief.

The truth is hard to see,
some never have the chance,
but those that are blessed,
become ever so grateful.

In that moment that I drowned,
I found peace in my life,
thought I breathed in the water,
I set my demon free.

Thus, my realization,
let things be as they will,
for time heals the wounds,
with happiness to follow.
