Realist

We all have those special moments in life
that we hold close to our hearts.
But there's always that gloomy
cloud that surrounds those beautiful,
yet fragile memories.
A cloud that stalks quietly around your soul,
eventually corrupting
every inch of your being.
Until you can't take it anymore..
It's death's heavenly sin.

How long can a heart keep going after all the
times it's been broken and shattered?
How long can it keep beating and
acting as if nothing ever happened?
It's death's easiest enigma.

Why are so many people afraid to die-
when life is so dismal and dark?
Why live in a world with such hate and cruelty
when the sky above is so soft and quiet?
Death is your sinister savior.

Everything has an ending.
Nothing ever lives forever.
Not love, nor happiness.
So why keep striving for them?
It's pathetic.
But, people continue to live their spoiled lives.
Still unaware of the blessing of Death.

I agree, but I think death is like a badge of honor. You've completed life or something. Aha, eternal retierment(: Ah, bliss.
