HEART AND MIND

Love they say will come and go
Heart and mind will settle for two
Mind is to forget yesterday that was through
Heart is to keep all memories even in blue

Mind would say "Everything is done"
Stop pretending, you are not his one
Heart would insist, "Nothing is gone"
I do love him, please understand

How could MIND really pretend
That heartache is easy to mend?
And how could HEART easily comprehend
To mind's set that everything was not meant?

To decide what would be best
Depends on which will fight less
Heart will definitely take the test
But can mind simply take a rest?

"You don't know what I mean", says the mind
"Do you even care what i feel?", asks the heart
Which of them would be so kind
To give up the battle and settle everything fine?.#
