Simple Goodbyes Are a Lie

by Monica93   Aug 4, 2009

Its just a lie
But so much more than just a simple goodbye
Clouded memories, drifted dreams
Darkness denying any obscure gleam
Pain is seeping in. Mocking filled thoughts while there is light
Dead memories so close to touch with the shadows of twilight

Cold hearted emotions
Brought on by spite
Words drenched in fear about to ignite
A warped mind filled with bitter waste
Everything ever loved, everything ever bright
Is hit with lighting, killed in the night

Love misplaced, peace no more
Everthing once embraced
Now stings your tongue with distaste
Disgust the new found craze
Victorious was the malicious bite
That brought destruction into your life

Its just a lie
But so much more than a simple goodbye
