You always have really good messages in your poems. This one was not any different. I agree with you that we can't truly enjoy ourselves unless we set all our worries aside..if we do that thats when we are able to enjoy ourselves and the peaceful reward that comes along with it. I loved how you set yourself in nature in this poem because nature is definatly a place to enjoy the silence and beauty. Okay anyways, I am done now I really loved the message and thought you put into this poem. :)

    "Earth truly is a paradise,
to all who are able to see"

GREAT ending! You painted a picture, so beautiful, so vivid! I am a more introverted person, myself. Spending time alone can be just what you needed all along.

    Wonderful write, keep em' coming!

    Heat, like a blanket,
    covers the slumbering meadow.
    The lake lies motionless,
    reflecting a perfect blue sky
    and a barefoot woman,
    walking on its bank.
    Cautious steps she takes,
    to protect the little beings
    living in between the
    soft blades of grass.

The start drew me and I could visualize
    everything!

    In the silence,
    alone,
    I found something precious:
    when the mind stops rushing
    from experience to experience
and one starts to reflect upon one's self,
    inner peace is born.
The presence of God is felt,
    inside and outside
    of this temporary home,
    once given by Him.

Yes silence is a time of self discovery as well
as coming closer to earth; it is a place of
    peace..a lovely, peaceful read :)

This was an excellant write and I found your words inspiring - I also found myself within your poem and seeing myself from time to time between the lines. Very comfortable read and you have a nice style that is pleasing and peaceful. In the silence alone - I find myself reading to read this work again. Peace...
