I act like i am fine

A big part of me died.

God took you away.

But i wish i was the chosen one.
I wish i was the one who died.

You could have given a lot to this world.
With your talent, your heart and your smile.
Every moment i spent with you was golden.
Being with you was worthwhile.

But today, i look at my hand.
And i don't see yours holding mine.
Though my heart is aching.
I act like i am fine.

The truth is, i am broken.
It's hard to look and not see you there.
I miss listening to the beats of your heart.
And i miss stroking your hair.

Yet, despite this, i believe you are with me.
