Evolution

by Beautiful Chaos   Aug 9, 2009

All of my words
Pour from my eyes
My voice just a mask
A songbird disguise

Silence for days
Lonesome for years
Nothing in life
Is what it appears

Love holds such sadness
Pain's a new start
Hope floats above us
Faith is an art

Birth laced in agony
Though joy never ceased
From the time of conception
Death is released

Time slowly fading
Sun growing cold
Innocence shattered
By all you unfold

Scars, cuts and bruises
Smiles, hugs and kisses
Sweet, salty wounds
Everyone misses

Where though it may hurt
The worth was still there
Burdens, though heavy
Not too much to bear

Subtle submissions
Anger filled lust
Dripping in chaos
Now covered in dust
