Clouded

by Kaila   Aug 10, 2009

Spherical translucent drops,
fall rapidly from their dwelling.

Escaping like armed prisoners,
waiting to be caught in the act.

Spiraling into gravity; spilling.
Only to be stopped by a sponge.

A tongue waiting for it's cloudburst.
Rain tumbles into his open mouth.

Wow, this was a powerful write. I really liked this piece of poetry you wrote. The only thing that I didn't really like was the first line, but that's because it was a bit of a tounge twister. Other than that, fantastic job, keep up the great work.

    Peace, Joe

I enjoy this interesting 3rd person take on basically the life of a rain drop from a cloud...Makes me think of a cloud as a not so happy thing as most people in-vision them to be, but a dark cold dungeon in which the water is trying to escape from.
