This was interesting. I have to say, it's kind of nice to read something that isn't all "I miss you dearly, I can't live without you..." blah blah blah. I find a ton of poems on here like that every day and they can get very tiresome very quickly - especially because I'm not a huge fan of love/romantic poetry to begin with.

Although in a way it deals with a sad subject (a love leaving, not returning...), the persona is positive about it, which is very refreshing. It leaves a positive message of: we go through many people in our lives, some which are right for us and some which aren't - and it's okay to experience the ones who aren't. It means when we find the one we're looking for, we'll know for sure how special they are.
