Bring the twilight (inspired by New moon)

by katie T Scott   Aug 13, 2009

Broken heart
Broken body
Fetch the needle and thread
Mend the frayed and beaten memories
That drift around my head

Is see the darkness
I see the grief
That inches down my spine
Keeping my limbs in sync with hell
Consuming all that's mine

Broken soul
Broken love
I would never see him fair
I would jump, I would die for him
I am broken beyond repair

Soothe the wounded
Soothe the flood
That pours from my empty chest
Ripped open by my inner grief
That never lets me rest

Bring the twilight
Bring the moon
Upon my fractured life
Bury the haunting memories
That bring sighs and endless strife

Broken heart
Broken body
The turmoil leaves me scared
Never felt a love so strong
That can never be repaired.
