Never a chance...

by katie T Scott   Aug 13, 2009

Break apart this weeping heart
Break apart its sorry stitches
The strings that holding its thumping walls
Play a melody that bewitches.

Its open doors ring out a chiming tune
And lets my fuel flood over the threshold
Ruby red metallic life
That leaves me icy cold

Control my ever raging hunger
From an ever empty heart
For as one beat is chased out doors
I find a hollow empty start

my cavity of stone is filling
And inside the red tides form
An ocean of unrequited love
Ready to be born

It waits for a shadow of hope to come
Outside the cages cold
Someone to cut me open and leave me weak
A love story like ever told

I am as hard ice and darkness
But within, my blood is heaving
Never a chance, just empty romance
That forever keeps deceiving
