No Ordinary Person

by Lori   Aug 15, 2009

She smiles to herself as she thinks of him.
He is no ordinary person.
How can he be so in tune with her every thought?
She doesn't know.

She touches her lips remembering his kiss.
Tender, loving, promising.
She can feel his imprint left behind as if branding her.
She is his.

She closes her eyes as she hears music in her head.
It reminds her of a time he twirled her in his arms.
Laughter engulfed them.

She hides her anguish as a tear escapes.
What did he do that was so wrong, to make someone hate him so?
She is confused.

She loses all strength as slowly she crumbles.
Her body shaking as sobs fight their way free.
Despair setting in.

She tries to block the images as screams fill the air.
People surrounding her, the cries are deafening.
They are hers.

She looks up and notices the gun toting boy.
She tries to charge him as insanity overtakes fear.
They stop her.

She screams for justice as their arms become her prison .
She claws at them as if they pulled the trigger.
She wants revenge.

She realizes the killer is gone as they slam the door.
It doesn't matter what kind of punishment he will face.
She is alone.

She slowly begins to fade as darkness overtakes her.
No, he was no ordinary person.
She'll miss him.
