Mirrors Don't Lie

by Good Enough   Aug 16, 2009

My reflection cries ugly
Dirty eyes glare back at me
With such disgust
Eyes that aren't even mine
But somehow.. they are..

A reflection meant to break
Mirrors don't lie
and If they they did,
Someone would be looking
Right back at who you are

Confusing your eyes
Illusions to illustrate to you
What perfect was meant to be
Something that your really not
But thats if they lied

But your stuck with mirrors
That show your dirty eyes..
Staring at the mistake..
..who is you..

This was a great poem honey. I felt so sad when I read this. You're a very sweet girl and I'm glad I know you. Keep your head up sweetheart. Nik

Good one. I like the last line. It's very powerful.

But I think you're awesome and pretty and everything with sugar and spice. ^_^

    Ashley,
You are not ugly physically or otherwise. I think you're a wonderful person, and this poem is so sad! It's really well written and the words are so scary, but I wish you wouldn't feel this way :( 5/5
