This is truly truly excellent. its just sad to me and i hate that this kind of thing happens i hate it alot. and im sorry you had to go through that. but again lovely lovely lovely poem and you were right this is one of your best work.

In nighmares people relive all atrocities they have encountered, be it rape, war, sever accidents.
You are not alone in this, sweetheart..there is only so much the human mind can handle, without it coming back to haunt them.
The question that causes all these nightmares, sometimes a hidden question is WHY? There is no answer to this question, Katie. A lot of cruelty that goes on in thsi world is random, people being in the wrong place/ wrong time and we do not find the answer until the day we reach heavens gate and look back and then see that part of the puzzel fits in in the strangest way, because it changed our life's path and we became a better person because of it and chose a profession that allowed us to help others perhaps?..
I have expereinced that people who suffer from trauma are best off in group therapy, talking with peers.

I love the flow katie, I think you are a vary exspresive writer. I also understand about how comfertable it is in the dark and that why its so hard to leave.

Had me captavated from the start right to the end, great expressions and the structure and wording are awsome. a very well writ poem.
