Start of a New Chapter

It's a bright sunny morning,
I've already set off to start my learning,
The pages of my new chapter turning,
As I started my last chapter... I was walking,
And as I came to the end... I was running.

Not aware of how fast my time would fly,
When I would sit down and cry,
Or relax in bed and lay,
My mind always wondering why.

Alas, my new chapter shall not be the same,
For I won't let my life be as lame!
I won't take part in that old game,
For there will be meaning to my name,
And most definitely not an ounce of shame!

Unlike before,
I will stand tall and proud,
I shall speak my mind out loud,
I will stick out in a crowd,
I will prove myself worthy,
And I will do it all most certainly.

It is high time I put my mind to use,
Thou I start this chapter on an awkward left foot,
Perhaps without such a sturdy boot,
But never the less,
It shall be a success!
