Future

The sun rises on a brand new day.
The warmth in my bones begins to stay.
I don't want this feeling to go away.

My future ahead is bright and clear.
I know that I should have nothing to fear.
But nothing is that simple, M'dear.

Ahead of me is nothing secure.
I don't know if I can endure.
Everything has become obscure.

Darkness has fallen over my sight.
The future is now an unending night.
Even breathing seems like a ridiculous fight.

I struggle to find that peace within.
Everything now has begun to spin.
This is a game in which I cannot win.

I'll press forward to find that light.
I hold the memories with all my might.
I will be saved from this plight.
