Laptop at her Fingertips

by Keekz   Aug 18, 2009

Laptop at her fingertips
Typing her pain away
Wishing she could sleep forever
Letting her mind go astray

No more would she have to
Smile and lie
No more would she have to
Go to sleep and cry

Alone, forever in this world
Everything just keeps falling apart
Repeatedly picking up the pieces
Of a shattered, broken heart

Nothing is left here
Just and a few empty scars
Now she’s just a memory
Who’s living among the night stars.

Sorrow becomes her soul mate
As she stands to hold herself strong
Smile and swallow the hurt
But then for how long?

Tempted each night
To make a stand
Opening their eyes to the world
Proving to herself that she can

No one would listen
For no one else cared
There minds are all somewhere else
And it’s to late to be repaired

Broken down to pieces
Then stepped on as well
Been swept under the rug
And so no one could tell
