Lost

\One little girl, once had a best friend
A friendship that would go to the end.
Telephone calls, and secrets shared
So many times the friend would just call to say they cared.
Tea parties, and games of house and dolls
Going to movies, and to shopping malls.
Staying up late, and laughing all night
Smiling, laughing, and feeling alright.
Both girls hit Jr. High
and there friendship was one big lie.
They never hung out, and all they did was scream.
And having there friendship back was a dream.
Something unreal, something that wasn't there.
To them, to each other, this wasn't fair.
The girl, always cried, and started to cut because of her friend
She just wanted out of her life, and for the pain to end.
She decided to talk crap about the other girl, to see if it would fill the space the friend left there
But it didn't, all she wanted was her friend to care.
To call, to come over, just to be there.
To lend her shoulder to cry on sometimes, and just to say she was her friend.
But that wasn't going to happen, so she ripped up the letter that said "Best friend's to the end"
and she tore the pictures of her best friend the two of them laughing and smiling
Now all it was tears and crying.
I'm the girl, and as I write this poem I'm starting to cry.
I just want my friend back, I don't want to say bye.
We've been through so much together, and I want to go through more, till the end.
Because, It's simple to say, she is my best friend.
