Winter (String Haiku)

by Dreamofolwin   Aug 19, 2009

Winter beckons now
Her icy hand numbing me
Stealing all my warmth

Ice covers the ground
Glazing everywhere it sees
Sparkling so brightly

Trees stand bare and cold
Shivering from winter winds
Lonely and bereft.

I dislike the cold, dark nights of the winter but this poem makes it seem so beautiful even if it is cold lol. 5/5, Em

Another great write, loved how you kind of gave winter the personification touch in the first stanza. good descriptions! nice work.
