Corbin and Alice

by aubreigh   Aug 22, 2009

She lies in his arms,
Wondering how she
got through the night.
And how she could bear
the incoming morning.

He holds her tight in
his arms, wondering
if that night would
change eachother
in the morning.

When the clock struck
12:00 P.M. they turned
to each other and look
deeply into theirs eyes
Nothing but blue and black
blotches.

She sheds a tear and
smiles at his warm grin
she sniffles and rests her
head on his chest gently.

He lifts her chin
and looks at her
thoughtfully. He
wipes her single tear
away with his thumb.
He rests his forehead
against hers.

"How are you?" he asked.

"Couldn't be better" she said sarcastically.

He chuckled softly and took her hand in
his, and sat up. he caressed the side of Alices' cheek.
She looked up at Corbin, and smiled.

"I love you..." she whispered.

"Ditto." he replied.
