Restless.

by Courageous Dreamer   Aug 22, 2009

I'm wide awake--restless as desires tease this forlorn mind; perhaps if these walls weren't bubblegum pink but rather a dull white, romance wouldn't be of annoyance. Minutes mold into hours; it's impossible to sleep without being able to cuddle close with you; battling cerulean drops from escaping--twice the challenge. Sheets become tousled with uncomfortable toss and turns; It feels as though I'm laying on top of stone--every muscle aches; my heart like a bullseye pierced with arrows of pain. It's just another long night of restlessness.

Intense emotions ... I could feel the restlessness in each line... the way you have narrated and described the scene is wonderful... very well penned...

This was a great read, though sad, it was full of emotion.

"perhaps if these walls weren't bubblegum pink but rather a dull white, romance wouldn't be of annoyance."

This was quite an interesting expression which caught my attention and think i can relate. Great job!

Whats up with the down-voting crap? Someone has nothing else to do.
Not one of your best in my opinion but it was good just the same

Great title, Temps, it drew my attention right away.
I agree with Sivlia, this is prose.
Well written, very sad and expressive...
Love comes with so much pain and in the teenage years those emotions are much stronger than when you are past, say...30.
They say you can't have the rose without the thorns, but that will be of small comfort to you now. I do think love is worth every tear that is shed for it and I hope your tears will not be shed in vain, girlie:)

Very well done on the prose.

    *hugs*

I would consider this prose and you have captured restlessness to a tee. Tossing and turning, sheets wadded up, I know this all to well.

This is my favorite line: It feels as though I'm laying on top of stone--every muscle aches; my heart like a bullseye pierced with arrows of pain. It's just another long night of restlessness.

    Well done.
