Hidden Desires

Hidden Desires

she sits in a darkened room
watching out the window
as the moon floats high in the sky
full and glowing bright

she thinks of a blue eyed man
whose peeked her interest
his eyes are mesmerizing
yet filled with sadness and pain

the smile he wears
upon full luscious lips
so sweet and endearing
causes butterflies to flitter within

his voice when he speaks
with words from his heart
so soothing and soft
penetrates her soul

best of friends theyve become
from spending much time together
they laugh and they chat immensely
finding theyre both broken and hurt

the love of another he does not want
so shes scared of what shes feeling
cause passion surrounds them when together
but knows their broken hearts need healing

so as the moon pulsates above
she sits in a darkened room
watching out the window
filled with hidden desires

I don't know how I missed this. Getting old I suppose. lol This is so lovely, sad but lovely. Your words have captured the feelings of having a friend, both whom have been hurt in love and realize your feelings are growing into more than friendship. Excellent work.
