WILL OF THE WISP

by desleeds   Aug 25, 2009

A strand of hair swirls with grace of freedom

A feather lightly sways away with wind of hope

A wisp of threads dance softly with whispers of dreams

A beam of light streaks through the air with goal

Like a will-o’-the-wisp that chooses to stay afloat

A soul in search of right of abode for the love

A mind remiss with a journey cluttered with murk

A body in thirst of warmth and affection

Like a will of the wisp that thrives in cozy air

With thoughts of now a wise man maimed by pain

Better to feel the gust of wind and breeze of coldness

Than set foot on the soil with paths obscured by hurts

Like the will-o’-the-wisp with smiles of windflowers.
