From hearts emanate the flame of hate and detestation
Too boorish as why the riches as one worldly owns
Weigh more than the wealth that love has nurtured
In a blink of an eye a blunder effaces with callousness
A love once enfolded by union of bliss with offspring
Now a spouse in grief so wretched in desolation
With stare at nothingness an empty heart whimpers alone
So enfeebled with a wish for death to come as an escape
From a journey that only sees the seamiest part of life

I was inspired to compose this poem from a friend who is now in her lowest low. She is distraught with grief, with her marriage now in limbo. The reason behind the failing relationship is too preposterous for her. I need to be receptive to her, she's now at a loss, on a crossroads, not knowing which way to go.
