A truly powerful poem, i like it. The emotional change when going from one extreme to the other is so apparent. Please keep writing.

As if it was fate,
I met you that day
Lingering in the corner hiding my face
You seemed amazing, one of a kind
I studied you from afar as i continued to hide.
*Such a sweet beginning but I can tell by your style that this isn't going to be a happy ending.*
You looked around,
Asif you was looking for me
Surely you could hear my heart beat.
You finally stopped as your eyes found mine
Removing your shades as you began to rise,
Moved from your seat as you shook my hand,
With a smile introduced yourself as my new man.
*So sweet, very well written with alot of emotion*
Two months of bliss
and an engagement ring, late night calls and
" i love you's "
The way you looked at me and said " your mine "
Lite up my life and sent chills down my spine.
I was happy in life, seemed nothing could go wrong,
Lying in bed listening to our song,
*Nothing never seems as it will go wrong but it usually does. Like the words you used.*
As the words danced around in my head
I got the one call that every girl dreads,
I knew as soon as i heard her voice,
She finished off with " im sorry but its your choice "
Light headed and hurt i began to cry
Realising slowly our love was one big lie.
Hating you and loving you at the same time,
I dialled your number and pretended i was fine.
You could tell by my voice and heavy breath
From that moment on you knew there was no hope left.
*Such a sad stanza but it's true that you can't trust anyone.*
Yes you was crying and finally telling the truth
But baby im sorry at the time i couldnt forgive you,
Months went past and we was starting to pull through,
Until that fateful day you said " i no longer love you "
There was nothing i could say
and nothing i could do,
But simply accept we was finally through.
*OMG, this is making me cry. I've been through something like this recently.*
I tried for weeks, please believe
i had no other choice,
i felt a stab to the heart whenever i heard your name,
it seemed that id forever have to live with the pain,
The pain of knowing we will never be,
The realisation of the fact that you was not my destiny.

As i plotted my escape from this cruel dark world,
I sent you a text saying " ill always be your girl "
I told you what i was going to do,
Only you could of saved me from my everlasting doom
But you simply replied " i dont care "
at that moment on my heart began to tear;
what was left of itself into tiny pieces
Knocking back pills as i remembered our kisses
Washing them down as i silently wept,
Laying down my head for the last time i slept.
