Suffocating Embrace

by Never Shall I Break   Aug 26, 2009

She stands behind the glass
Watching from a distance
It's like a train wreck
Can't look away for an instant

Her heart bleeds tears of the truest blue
Her screams drowned out by their love
She wishes she could hit rewind
And feel his tender touch

She bites her tongue, tasting blood
Whispering words in the dark
She can't loose their friendship too
She's already lost her heart

Stolen emotions haunt her dreams
Their faces weave in and out
The silence of her screams
Couldn't be more loud

She takes the razor by the hand
And makes the pain go away
Crimson raindrops falling down
Will come back another day

She feels it slipping from her hands
Eluding her frantic grasp
She sees the occurrence take place
But doesn't ever ask

Hold her close, hold her tight
But never get to warm
Because she'll melt away from you
She has no rose, only a thorn

This was a good yet heartbreaking poem, I felt the absense of any hope in your words. The flow was a bit off in places but your descriptions were so clear.

God bless you and Merry Christmas!
