Reflections

by Lonely Rider   Aug 26, 2009

Under the silver sky,
clouds floating by,
reflecting bygone tales,

If only sands of time
had not fiercely raged,
at our lone castle,

Would then I had noticed,
the missing hues
in my dream palette.

Or a few more stars
camouflaging
the shadowy nights.

Smiles more warmer
and tears - a little less
in long lonely days. Maybe.

Sigh!!! solitude beckons again,
under the silver sky
and clouds floating by.

A lovely, somewhat melancholy poem. Just the right touch of rhyme here and there. Nicely done :-)
