Close Your Eyes and Tell Me What You See

by .K.i.T.t.Y.   Aug 26, 2009

My eyes flutter close,
Lost in sweet reverie,
Drawing forth your being.

A goofy grin, beautiful eyes;
A Cheshire cat evanescence,
And bit by bit you fade black.

My heart pulls, yearns for you;
My clumsy hands grasp for yours
And crash against solid air.

My breath is caught on reality
Of the distance that falls between
Our headstrong determination.

I press harder, imagine stronger,
That you are in mere feet of me,
And I can at any moment break.

Break through this barrier
And fall into your arms,
Breath taken and completed.
